New Facebook Chat Mod Uses Only SMS

Want to Facebook Chat on your mobile but don’t want to pay GPRS data charges?  There’s a new Facebook Chat app that uses SMS to send and receive chat messages from Facebook WITHOUT paying for GPRS charges. The guys at Shorthand Mobile call it an SMS App.

With Shorthand’s Facebook Chat SMS App, you can see who’s online and begin chatting in just a couple of clicks. Manage multiple chats simultaneously and, when you are done, the chat history is saved for the next time!

Shorthand also bundles SMS Apps for Google, CricBuzz, Twitter, Snapdeal and more.  All of these SMS Apps are included in their free SMS Browser.  Text FBSMS to 09223170750 and Shorthand will SMS you a download link.  Click the link to download the free SMS Browser and SMS Apps – this is the ONLY time you need to use GPRS.

To avoid GPRS download charges, you can install Shorthand from your PC.  Simply register at the Shorthand website and check the “side load” box at registration completion. After installing, Shorthand uses only your SMS plan to connect. It’s that easy!

Finally, someone has figured out how to bring mobile apps to India without expensive GPRS charges.

Set-up your Facebook Account to work with Shorthand’s Facebook Chat SMS App now:
